Special 4 week adult dance class!
Sundays, February 20 thru March 13th - 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Beginners Joy of Movement for Adults
Anyone can join. Any movement can be dance! This class is geared towards those who have a tendency to be shy to dance but still have a desire to enjoy creative movement.
The goal is to bring comfort and joy with a series of guided movement segments. If you engage even one muscle, moving beyond your usual motions or laugh at all then you've succeeded!
We will emphasize personal space with personal goals to move to music while sharing studio space with others in your shoes. No rhythm or skills required. By way of easing into warm up stretches without strain and listening to your body, you may even surprise yourself. Class will include games and play to facilitate your exploration of what you can and want to do in your designated area. Please bring water, a bandana or similar scarf and wear comfortable attire including nonslip clean shoes or socks.
Proof of vaccination is required and enter with a mask until you are situated in your sphere.
Class size is limited to 9, so please reserve your spot prior to each Sunday - firstname.lastname@example.org You can also email if you have questions.
$5 suggested donation. Drop ins welcome if we are not at capacity of 9 upon your arrival.
Facilitated by Jeanette Ammon who has enjoyed movement and dance as a nonverbal expression and exercise from a shy age of 4 with varied formal dance classes over the years.
